GRANTS

Grants are awarded from the DAS’s Anniversary Fund. This fund is used to support and further the aims of the DAS in promoting and developing the understanding and appreciation of the decorative arts from 1850. The DAS offers grants for research travel, assists museums to acquire items for their collections, and awards at least two annual Collections Access Grants per year.

In 2015 to celebrate the 40^th anniversary of its founding the DAS established, thanks to the generosity of its members, a fund from which to award various grants. In 2024 the name of this fund was changed from the 40th Anniversary Fund to the Anniversary Fund.

At the moment the DAS awards four different types of grants:

The Bi-Annual Museum Collections Access Grants
Grants for Museum Acquisitions
Grants to Support Travel for Research and Professional Development
Other small Ad Hoc Grants

The Trustees will also consider applications for other grants from the Anniversary Fund that fall within the parameters of the interests of the DAS.
