Visit to Waddesdon Manor and Windmill Hill

Waddesdon Manor was built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in 1874–85 to display his art collection. Opened to the public in 1959, the Manor is now managed by the Rothschild Foundation on behalf of the National Trust, who took over ownership in 1957. It is now home to the world-class Rothschild collection of paintings, sculpture and decorative art.
After refreshments in the restaurant there will be two curator-led tours, first of the Manor itself, then of Windmill Hill, a converted dairy farm that now displays the Rothschild’s collection of modern and contemporary art.
