Visit to the Senate House, University of London

A visit to one of London’s most powerful buildings, rising 215 feet above Bloomsbury. Designed by Charles Holden, this Grade ll* modernist building contains the world-famous Senate House Library and still retains much of its superb Art Deco joinery and metalwork. We will see many of the elegant halls and meeting rooms, the upper library and roof terrace in the Central Tower, the lower ground ‘Orwellian’ plant rooms, Erwin Bessanyi’s stained glass windows, Gordon Russell furniture and art work from the University’s collection.
