Visit to the Library and Museum of Freemasonry
UK EVENT
Wed 31 Jan 2018
The museum at Freemasons’ Hall in Covent Garden holds a huge stock of metalwork, textiles, ceramics and furniture connected with the development of freemasonry in Britain and its Empire, including ceremonial regalia and medallions, Masters’ chairs, temple furnishings and grand commemorative silverware. Mark Dennis, the Curator, will introduce us to the collection, with opportunities to handle items, and the Librarian will share with us his research into the work of Arts and Crafts designers for the Freemasons. The end of the formal session should allow time for those who wish to look further at the collection – there is a lot to see.
