Visit to the Fashion and Textile Museum and London Glassblowing Workshop
UK EVENT
Tue 14 Nov 2017
In two groups we will visit the Fashion and Textile Museum for a tour of the exhibition on Louise Dahl-Wolfe (1895–1989), considered a pioneer of modern fashion photography; and London Glassblowing, founded by Peter Layton in 1976. One of Europe’s most successful and longest running hot-glass studios it has built a reputation for its use of colour, form and texture. We will observe glass-blowing in progress, with the opportunity to interact with the artisans. The Bermondsey Street area boasts many excellent restaurants if you decide to have lunch beforehand.
