VISIT TO THE CENTRE OF CERAMIC ART (COCA) AT YORK ART GALLERY

Dr Helen Walsh, curator of ceramic art at York Museums Trust will give us a tour of the exhibition The Yorkshire Tea Ceremony about the collection of W.A. Ismay, the UK’s most prolific collector of post-war British studio pottery. There will also be an opportunity to see Beyond Bloomsbury: Life, Love and Legacy, a major new exhibition created in partnership with the National Portrait Gallery and Sheffield Museums. Following the visit to the Art Gallery we will visit a private collection of modern and contemporary ceramics and glass where the noted ceramicist Ruth King will talk about her work.
