Tour of the V&A’s Plywood Exhibition

From cars to aeroplanes, furniture to architecture, and handmaking to digital manufacture, Plywood: Material of the Modern World is the first major exhibition on a material that has shaped global histories of design and manufacture, from the 1850s to today. Led by the exhibition’s co-curator, Christopher Wilk, the tour will highlight
 key moments in the history of plywood as a material for design, from highly influential 19th-century moulded plywood furniture, to the work of modernist designers such as Alvar Aalto, Marcel Breuer and Grete Jalk, and contemporary design.
