FOREIGN STUDY TOUR
Thu 11 May 2023
11 – 16 May 2023
Focused on the Secession movement and covering virtually all the sites worth visiting in this period, this exclusive 6-day tour of `post-1850’ Vienna and immediate surroundings will also cover a series of lesser-known sites, dating both from before and after the Secession. Works by Wagner, Loos, Hoffmann, Moser, and Olbrich will be included in the programme.
It will feature local scholars and is organised by Dr Léon Lock, a freelance architectural and sculpture historian based in Belgium, who is already known to many members as the organizer of previous successful study visits including a notable one to Northern France in 2017.
The Programme starts on Thursday 11th May at 2.30pm and will conclude in the early afternoon of Tuesday 16th May to enable departure on evening flights.
A group has now been confirmed for this tour. Please contact David Wurtzel, Chairman of the Events sub-committee, if you wish to be on the waiting list in case of cancellations.
