FOREIGN STUDY TOUR

A five-day tour covering Prague and its environs will go beyond the normally available tourist destinations and behind doors normally not open to the public. Included will be a private tour of the interiors at the Obecní Dům (Municipal House), with the Smetana concert hall, the great masterpiece of Czech Art Nouveau; and the villa built for himself by architect Jan Kotěra.
Outside Prague, planned visits include Kutná Hora, Libodřice for the Cubist Bauer Villa, and Nové Město and Metují whose unusual interiors (Baroque fused with the best of the early 20th century) were featured in World of Interiors magazine. In Hradec Králové we include the Art Museum and Decorative Arts Museum, both with significant modern collections.
