FOREIGN STUDY TOUR

A six-night tour covering Prague and its environs will go beyond the generally available tourist destinations and behind doors normally not open to the public. Included will be a private tour of the interiors at the Obecní Dům (Municipal House), with the Smetana concert hall — the great masterpiece of Czech Art Nouveau; and the villa built for himself by architect Jan Kotěra.
Outside Prague, planned visits include Kutná Hora, the Cubist Bauer Villa in Libodřice, and Nové Město and Metují whose unusual interiors are Baroque fused with the absolute best of the early 20th century. In Hradec Králové we include the Art Museum and Decorative Arts Museum, both with significant modern collections.
