Focused on fin de siècle and 20th century architecture and decoration in an area known for its glamour and luxury, this seven-night tour is based in Marseille and Nice. Notable sites in the itinerary are scheduled to include Matisse’s Chapelle du Rosaire at Vence, the Musee Ephrussi de Rothschild at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, and the Villa Kerylos at Beaulieu-sur-Mer.
It is being organised by Dr Léon Lock, an architectural and sculpture historian based in Belgium, who is already known to many members as the organizer of previous successful study visits to Northern France in 2017 and Vienna in 2023.
