DAS AMM AT THE MUSEUM OF THE HOME, LONDON (1)
UK EVENT
Sat 16 Nov 2024
This year the AMM will be held at The Museum of the Home in London. In July of this year the museum, whose purpose is to reveal the ways we live and think about home, opened seven new installations exploring the period 1878–2049, ending with its Innovo Room of the Future. There will be plenty of opportunity to visit the museum.
The formal proceedings will start at 11.00 and be followed by talks from recipients of recent DAS grants: Dr Helen Shaw, Research Manager, Queen Mary University of London on Poole Pottery’s influence on design in civic spaces; Dr Silvia Davoli, Curator, Strawberry Hill House and Garden on the late 19th-century history of the house and its owners; and Christopher Jordan, DAS member and independent scholar, on the four Herkomer enamels from his Triumph of the Hour shield recently acquired by Bushey Museum.
Attendance at the AMM is free (there is a charge for lunch) but please register for security reasons.
