DAS AMM AT THE MUSEUM OF THE HOME, LONDON
UK EVENT
Sat 12 Nov 2022
The Annual Meeting of DAS Members will be held at The Museum of the Home (formerly The Geffrye Museum), which reopened last year following a major building project. The Museum’s purpose is to reveal the ways we live and think about home through the changing shape of domestic interiors and life. There will be plenty of opportunity to visit the museum. The formal proceedings will start at 11.00 and will be followed by talks, including from recipients of recent DAS grants: Dr Abi Shapiro, Assistant Curator, The Hepworth Wakefield, on her reinstallation project exploring the relationship between pottery and sculpture, and Catherine Eyre whose book on the Peasant Arts Industries and Haslemere Weaving Industry will accompany an exhibition at the Haslemere Educational Museum. Sonia Solicari, the director of The Museum of the Home, will also give a short talk. There will be the traditional raffle in aid of DAS funds.
The Report of the Trustees and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 March 2022 will be discussed at the AMM. It is now available to view or download on the Accounts page.
