Sun 19 Feb 2023
Zoom lecture by Rebecca Klarner, at 6.00 pm (London). The intersection between art and ceramics that spanned the 19th and 20th centuries will be explored in this lecture about the artistic legacy resulting from the connection between the Wedgwood Company and the Lessore family. There is a special focus on the work of Elaine Thérèse Lessore (1884–1945), an artist in close proximity to the Bloomsbury Group, who used Wedgwood blanks as a true extension to her canvas.
